Modern Vietnamese embroidery (photographed through a shop window)
.A couple of contemporary pieces of hand embroidery seen in the window of a shop in Hanoi. The photographs aren’t very good through window glass but the simple designs and bright colours captivated me and I thought other embroidery lovers would enjoy them too.

They look lovely – bright, vivid, full of life.
I agree – so nice and tactile in a way machine embroidery can never be.
Very satisfying in so many ways. I particularly like the first round design where vibrant colours are carefully balanced, the design is great fun and it just works as a piece of art one wants to own.
Or something that inspires you to do something similar for yourself – I keep seeing a monogram in the middle of all those flowers and leaves.
